Obama Protection 4

The wooden box in front of Obama below is always within reach of the President in the Oval Office area of the West Wing. It has a small red light in its top and what appears to be a medallion. It appears to be wireless for easy movement. It is shown below in the Cabinet Room and at two locations in the Oval Office: on the president's desk and on a side table at the sitting area. Same locations during the Bush administration. Question: What is this box? Answers to: cryptome[at]earthlink.net

Not that exciting actually. It's the presidential call button, for when you need a glass of
water or a spec-ops strike stat!

Do you not think the omnipresent call button box and the "handheld GPS like" CINCTracker
could be connected? Seems to be the obvious answer.

Cryptome:

Agreed. We're expecting to learn that the call button is not altogether a simple device,
camouflaged as an innocuous paper weight. Weird, to use a dinky wooden box with a
formulaic red button and presidential seal, as if a joke is being played on us yokels if not
the Man himself.

As far as we can find in photos, Clinton is the first to use the wooden box, though there
may have been other versions, Tricky Dick's taping system, say, and perhaps others not
yet aired.

Could be the box hides a wireless mic for a taping system. Maybe Hill gave it as a
gift to Bill to secretly record his dalliances, the SS abetting. Or it could be a prank:
press the button to hear "fucking jerk, you're an asshole." A cavity resonator, and so on.

The Secret Service protection team is located directly below the Oval Office and
Cabinet Room. That is likely where the prez-sensoring gadgetry is mastered.
There are diverse means to spy the prez and his "institution," and some of
the obvious trappings are exhibited to deflect attention from the others.

Still, sometimes a call button is just that dumb.
